Saturnacan.net was started in the early days of the world wide web, under the Federal Community Access Program. In September, 2015 the Saturna Community Club decided to update the site in a free collaboration with the students and staff of Q College in Victoria. In the decade since that update, Saturnacan's use as a public forum and local event site has diminished as social sites such as Facebook have grown in popularity. This site still operates as a booking site for the Saturna Commuity Club Hall. But otherwise it is rarely used anymore as a community hub and event listing site. There is some interest in updating its outdated software and relaunch the site as a Saturna community portal. But at the momentl, this site will stay in a fairly static site with few updates to content other than Community Club content and Hall bookings.
